Healing Workshop & Sound Ceremony with Anthar Kharana Anthar Kharana Navarro, native from the land of the Hacaritama people in the North of Colombia will be visiting Oxford as part of his Europe Spring 2019 tour. Anthar has been traveling for 16 years worldwide and his path combines powerful ancient stories, teachings and music from his ancestors that will bring joy and freedom to the heart of the listeners. In this occasion, Anthar will be leading a day of deep inner work called “The Sacred Warrior of Light” which includes a 3 hour Healing Workshop in the afternoon and a 3 hour Ancestral Sound Ceremony in the evening. *HEALING WORKSHOP (3pm-6pm) involves a powerful experience of journeying back to our ancestral linage with the help of animal spirits, to be able to observe old agreements that we have made in the past and that might need to be re-made. With the use of ritual aspects, Anthar will guide us through the sacred art of Pagamento to make a spiritual payment to our Mother Earth as a way to be thankful for the new dawn that we will call into our life. *ANCESTRAL SOUND CEREMONY (7pm-10pm) involves a wide range of instruments, drums and voices played and sang by Anthar, creating a profound sound scape were participants will fall into a deep state of conscious dreaming. There will be also stories and teachings of the power animal of the day and well as a group sharing at the end. “By embodying the gifts given to you through these experiences, one can manifest a new beginning with the clarity of knowing where his roots are grounded.” Anthar DATES: FRIDAY 7th JUNE On Friday Anthar will offer a concert where he will play his own compositions and arrangements to traditional songs. ABOUT ANTHAR: Anthar Kharana is native from the land of the Hacaritama people up in the Andes in the north of Colombia, a land where ancient warriors used to live. He is a guardian of the sacred fire and traditional medicines of the Americas, guided and supported by wise Elders from his homeland from an early age. He is also a music composer and sound healing practitioner. As a Sundancer he carries the Chanupa (peace pipe) and Inipi (sweat lodge) medicines from the linage of Leonard Crow Dog and became one of the Sons of the alliance of the Eagle and Condor, a New Nation united by the agreement of the Elders of the North and South America to become One. Anthar has been ordered as a Spiritual leader of the Pachamama Native American Church to continue spreading the word worldwide. Over the last 16 Years Anthar has been traveling and sharing the wisdom of the Sacred Fire and Ancestral Sound and its relation to the Plant and Animal Kingdom Medicine. He leads traditional ceremonies, sound journeys, conferences, workshops, concerts, therapies and retreats in different countries around the world including, Colombia, Chile, England, Scotland, Wales, Ibiza, Bali-Indonesia, Poland, France, Portugal and Italy among others. As a composer and multi-instrumentalist Anthar has created different Albums of inspirational music and is an active composer for different international dance and theatre companies including Protein Dance, Sinman Dance, Vocab Dance and Fashion for Conservation. He is the director and founder of TRIBAL SOUND HEALING and the TAMBORA FOUNDATION in the UK and Colombia and co-director of the first school of sound healing in Scotland ANSU School of Sound & Tribal Healing Arts.
