homeland in the Andean Jungle of Colombia to share with us a healing experience through the seasons of 2025. In the ancestral traditions of Colombia, the plant kingdom is understood as a vast and sacred network of teachers. Every plant holds a spirit, a song, and a wisdom that invites us into deeper relationship with life. To walk with the plants is to walk with humility, listening to the voices of the Earth and remembering that we are not separate from nature, but a living part of it. In this evening and day retreat, guided by ancient traditions, we will sit in ceremony with two profound allies:
By bringing these ancestral teachings from Colombia to the lands near Wolverhampton, we weave together traditions across continents, honouring the spirits of the plants while grounding the experience in the beauty of the land where we gather. During this weekend retreat, Anthar will guide you through different unconventional meditative practises, including not only sitting meditations but also practices outside in nature and with the medicine of sound and the guidance of the plant kingdom. Through deep words of wisdom, and different dynamics in the middle of the forest, including sacred fires and ceremonies, ancestral music, powerful stories, life music, herbal wisdom and yes, delicious vegan food! Anthar will support you to unveil hidden aspects of yourself with the hopes to help you to re-plan your next steps in life. WHEN: * SATURDAY 16th AUGUST || 4pm - 10pm Ancestral Sound Medicine - "Teachings of the Crocodile" The sacred art to connect with our deep emotions" * SUNDAY 17th AUGUST || 10am - 10pm On Sunday, we enter the sacred garden of the plant kingdom, walking with two powerful allies: Tobacco, the Grandfather who clears the path and protects our prayers, and Mugwort, the Dreaming Plant who opens the inner vision and invites us to remember the wisdom that lives within. In the Colombian traditions, these plants are not just herbs, they are ancient teachers. With them, we learn the art of Limpia, a sacred practice of cleansing body, mind, and spirit. Through guided ritual, you will be invited to prepare your own limpia mixture with herbs and plants, awakening the power of your hands, your breath, and your intention. Anthar is also a Sundancer and a member of the Pachamama Native American Church. He started at an early age, guided by wise elders from his land and during the last 25 years of travels, Anthar have visited 16 countries, particularly active in the UK, leading retreats, conferences, workshops, ceremonies and concerts. As a music composer, he has created different inspirational music albums as well as being an active composer for several international dance and theater companies such as Protein Dance, Sinman Dance, Shewolf and Vocab Dance among others. Anthar is the director and founder of the Ancestral School in Colombia (Escuela Ancestral Colombia) and both Tribal Sound Healing and the Tambora Foundation in the UK and Colombia.
